BSI

Miers Construction Products operates a quality management system which is certified by BSI to the Internationally recognised ISO 9001 standard. Our management system encompasses activities across all Miers’ sites. The ISO 9001 standard requires that we implement best practice approaches at all levels of the Company, which is driven by the active involvement of our Management Team.

ISO 9001 certification demonstrates to all Interested Parties that we have systems in place for continual improvement and improving our efficiency as well as being resilient and building a sustainable business.

At the forefront of ISO 9001 is the requirement to understand and deliver our customer’s requirements. Our systems are fully focussed on working with our Supply Partners to ensure that our customers receive high quality products and on time delivery.

British Precast

British Precast is for members of the supply chain and the main trade association for all precast concrete manufacturers.

Main targets of the federation are to actively encourage precast concrete in the construction industry; to spread information, through a variety of industry representation and share knowledge to its member companies. Membership is growing all the time with now over 60 precast concrete manufacturer members with also 100 supply chain organisations, members’ interests are continually developed through our group of devoted experts who have a wide range of connections with organisations in the United Kingdom and worldwide.

CONSTRUCT

CONSTRUCT was formed in 1993, and are well-known across the construction industry as a expert and proactive organisation which acts as a platform between member contractors, clients and suppliers. It also acts between other areas of the construction industry with all its stakeholders. The CONSTRUCT membership is open to all those who have an interest in actively encouraging the best possible for concrete.

CONSTRUCT’s four main priorities are:

  • Improving safety and efficiency
  • Co-ordinating views and acting in members’ interests
  • Promoting innovation in the use of concrete
  • Identifying and addressing best practice and buildability

Constructionline

Constructionline was originally created as a Government department and has been been supporting thousands of businesses across the public and private sectors for over 20 years.

Constructionline pride themselves on creating future prospects for members to access a wide range of procurement contracts and projects – and for buyers to access a validated list of the best quality suppliers.

FORS

The Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) is a voluntary accreditation scheme for fleet operators . The goal of the scheme is to increase the level of quality within fleet operations, and to demonstrate which operators are achieving exemplary levels of best practice in safety, efficiency, and environmental protection.

As a FORS member, Miers has peace of mind that our company is managing its work related road risk (WRRR) – and demonstrates to our customers and supply chain our commitment to meeting & exceeding the industry standard.

FORS GOLD

Miers Construction Products St Neots are proud to be able to say they have once again achieved FORS Gold accreditation, proving to our customers and are supply chain that we are committed to exceeding the industry standard. With Gold accreditation St Neots are achieving exemplary levels of best practice in safety, efficiency and environmental protection.

The Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme state ‘Gold accreditation is only awarded to exceptional operators who have met exacting targets. FORS Gold operators will actively promote the FORS Standard to their supply chain and produce a case study documenting their progression through to the top level of accreditation.’

FSB

FSB are experts in business and offer their members a wide variety of critical business services. These services include advice, financial expertise, support and a powerful voice in government. FSB’s goal is to help smaller businesses achieve their potential.

FSB are a not-for-profit organisation, led by a team of their members, which exists to serve the small business community across the UK.

Supply Chain School

Miers Construction Products are a member of the Supply Chain School.

The School is a collaboration between clients, contractors and first tier suppliers who want to build the skills of their supply chains.

Working together with the program helps to make construction leaner, greener and more efficient.

The Sunday Times Fast Track 100

The Sunday Times Virgin Atlantic Fast Track 100 league table ranks Britain’s 100 private companies with the fastest-growing sales over their most recent three years. It is compiled by Fast Track and published in The Sunday Times each December.

The league table has strict criteria for entry, and Miers was proud to have made the list during 2015.

Miers Construction Products were selected for the second year running (2018/19) top 100 businesses to work in.
