Description

Visqueen Axiom Guard Primer is a solvent free, one component, polyurethane based
primer suitable for all substrates. The highly penetrative formulation seals and primes
surfaces prior to the use of Visqueen Axiom Guard liquid waterproofing system.
It is characterised by its very low viscosity and balanced curing speed which result in
excellent wetting, impregnation and paint-over time on all substrates, whether of high, low
or no porosity (e.g. glass and metals).
The product is supplied in a 4Kilo tin.

Application

To be used as a primer for:

• Humid, damp or wet concrete
• Brick
• Metal
• Wood
  In blockwork applications Visqueen recommend Visqueen Axiom UniSEAL as one part

Preparation

All surfaces should be smooth, clean, dry and free from frost, oil, grease, condensation
and other contamination. Cleaning of the surface by a high pressure washer is preferable.
Fill surface irregularities with a suitable filler such as 3:1 mortar mix.
Application temperature should be above 5oC although the product has been proved to
work at 0oC.
Gloves and suitable PPE should be worn prior to application.
Apply with roller or brush. Once cured, the main membrane (e.g. Axiom Guard liquid
membrane) can be applied.
The product requires no agitation or stirring and no dilution is required.

Installation Tip

Do not over apply and allow to puddle

Coverage Rates

Visqueen recommend 200g/m² for all surfaces. Some surfaces may require more subject
to substrate porosity.
Coverage per m2 = 200 grams
Coverage per 4 kilo tin = 20m²
